Certificate in Laser Refractive Surgery 10/10/2011 The Royal College of Ophthalmologists has introduced an assessment in laser refractive surgery (commonly referred to as laser eye surgery) which leads to a certificate of competence to practise, subject to satisfactory yearly appraisals and continuing professional development.
