Part 2 FRCOphth Examination 07/11/2011 This examination is open to candidates who have passed the Part 1 FRCOphth and the Refraction Certificate. The examination is held twice yearly in February/April and September/November. Candidates are required to pass this examination by the end of year seven of ophthalmic specialist training.

Elizabeth Thomas Seminar 18/11/2011 This annual seminar provides an update on recent developments in macular disease. The day will highlight the latest information on new & emerging treatments, including diabetic macular oedema and retinal vein occlusion. There will also be a trade exhibition running alongside the seminar and update from the Macular Disease Society.

Practical Refraction Examination 28/11/2011 No previous experience in ophthalmology is necessary for candidates to sit the Refraction Certificate but candidates are unlikely to pass this assessment if they have not undertaken a large number of clinical refractions in the clinical settings of either the hospital workplace or in optometric establishments.

College Tutor Induction Day 28/11/2011 The aims of the day are to explain some of the duties of a College Tutor and give College Tutors the opportunity to ask questions about College work and meet other tutors.
