Glaucoma Surgery - Balancing Safety and Success 16/09/2014 In this one day seminar, the central role of augmented 'safe' trabeculectomy will be discussed, with particular reference to identifying high risk patients and how to avoid serious complications whilst ensuring a good IOP lowering effect. The role of alternative surgical approaches, in particular 'large' aqueous shunts along with non-penetrating techniques and newer micro-invasive surgical techniques will be discussed. An approach to learning and teaching glaucoma surgery will also be detailed.
