Affiliate Members

Those medical practitioners in the field of ophthalmology who hold qualifications or have the necessary experience prescribed in the Bye-laws, or

Those persons approved and admitted by the Council, who hold a higher qualification prescribed in the Bye-laws, and are engaged in ophthalmic research but are not medically qualified.

Trainee Affiliate Members

Those medical practitioners who are not yet eligible to be fellows or members but who are taking College examinations, currently excluding the Refraction Certificate, Fellowship Assessment and FRCOphth Part 2.

Senior membership

Those medical practioners who have retired and are no longer earning from any medical sources.
