Communications Manager

Full time, permanent position

Salary:  £31,835 including London weighting per annum

 

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists champions excellence in the practice of ophthalmology for the benefit of patients and the public. 

The College is currently going through an exciting phase of its development, moving to newly refurbished premises in the Spring of 2014, where it will provide training and other services from modern, state of the art facilities.  As part of this phase, the College is recruiting a Communications Manager who will play a critical role in setting the strategic direction for communications, building the College brand and developing membership engagement.

The successful candidate will have an excellent all round understanding of communications gained in a similar role.  He or she will be self-motivated and a creative thinker who will relish the opportunity to build a strong communications provision in the College whilst working with existing channels and publications, e.g. the website and newsletter.

The post holder will work well as part of a team, have excellent all round communication, interpersonal and IT skills, and be able to work on their own initiative.
