About Eye

Established in 1881 as the Transactions of the Ophthalmological Societies of the United Kingdom and renamed Eye in 1987, the journal publishes high-quality research that advances the science and practice of ophthalmology worldwide. 

While primarily aimed at ophthalmologists, Eye is also relevant to optometrists, orthoptists, healthcare professionals and researchers working across all areas of visual science.
