Skills in Imaging, Diagnosis and Management of Retinal Diseases

Start: 4th July 2019

End: 5th July 2019

Type: Seminar

Description: For 2019, The Royal College of Ophthalmologists is offering another seminar on Skills in Imaging, Diagnosis and Management of Retinal diseases. The emphasis is on clinical skills and we have again a great line up of experienced clinicians who are also accomplished speakers to share their expertise on how they approach the diagnosis and management of a large spectrum of retinal diseases. As usual, we have updates on very common conditions such as AMD and PCV but there is also a strong focus on less commonly encountered conditions which can be challenging to diagnose and manage- such as lymphoma, mactel and autoimmune retinopathy to name but a few. This seminar is suitable for any health care professional who is involved with the care of patients with macular and retinal diseases. They will gain knowledge and understanding of the pathogenetic changes in the ocular fundus and how these changes give rise to the different imaging characteristics that can be used in diagnosis and monitoring of treatment response. The programme is very different from year to year with fresh topics and new speakers and the 2019 programme will certainly provide a lot of interest, inspiration as well as knowledge and skill transfer for practitioners at all levels. It is certainly worth attending in 2019 even if you have attended this seminar in the past.
