Management of the Macula in Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment
Start: 13th March 2020
Description: New surgical methods and recent publications have changed the approach to rhegmatogenous retinal detachment and the macula. The role of macular detachment in visual recovery has been re-assessed. Recent macula off RRD perhaps require prompt surgery for best results. The use of vitrectomy and gas has led to the development of newly recognised problems such as macular shift and distorted vision. Postoperative posturing regimes are variable and uncertain. This seminar has been designed to explore these areas of controversy with experts from the UK providing their different opinions on solutions.
