Ophthalmologists practising in the UK or internationally can apply for Fellowship based on their professional experience and contributions to ophthalmology. As a minimum, applicants must:
- have at least seven years of relevant experience in ophthalmology
- meet the minimum points requirement across the essential domains of Clinical Practice, Education and Training, Research and Innovation, Management and Leadership, as outlined in the Assessment Matrix
- provide a supporting letter from a Medical Director or Head of Department (see form FBA MDA MD support form)
- provide two positive references from eligible referees (download FBA MBA referee form)
- be eligible to practise without restrictions.
