Eye Logbook
Resident doctors must use the Eye Logbook throughout their training to record their surgical experience, including procedures they have performed independently, performed under supervision, or assisted with. The Eye Logbook helps you to:
- record ophthalmic surgical procedures
- review your data using tables and charts
- track your training progress
- support audit and revalidation activities
- capture surgical data required for your certificate of completion of training (CCT)
Accessing the Eye Logbook
The Eye Logbook is available to College Fellows and Members in good standing as part of their membership benefits.
If you are eligible and require access, please complete the request form.
Cataract surgery outcomes
If you are recording cataract surgery, you can enter expected outcomes as S/CxA as well as spherical equivalent (SE).
Option for non-members
If you are not eligible for member access, you can download a free Excel template to record your surgical activity.
Eye Logbook app
The Eye Logbook app available through the Apple store is no longer updated or supported by the provider. The app may still be available to download and use, but neither the provider nor the College offers ongoing support for it.
