Welcome to the Curriculum 2024 Assessment Pilot
The Curriculum 2024 Assessment Pilot was set up to test and provide feedback on the three new assessments that will come into force from August 2024. The Pilot ran from 18 July to 31 October 2022 and is a requirement for the final approval of Curriculum 2024 by the GMC.
See here for the Final Report submitted to the GMC on 30 June 2023 and a list of the changes to be made to the new assessments.
The new assessments will be used from August 2024. They are:
- Entrustable Professional Assessment (EPA) – key method of assessing the patient management domains that will replace the current clinical supervisor report (CSR)
- Multi-Assessor Report (MAR) – clinical assessments from other clinicians and professionals that will feed into the EPA
- Generic Skills Assessment Tool (GSAT) – key method to assess all the other domains
To recognise the commitment of volunteers taking part in the assessment pilot, a certificate will be available to those who send in a completed assessment form and complete the online survey.
If you wish to discuss the assessment pilot or the documents, please contact [email protected]
Pilot instructions and guidance
Trainees and supervisors can download new assessment forms in Word format from the list below, complete them using the guidance provided, email them to [email protected] and complete an online survey.
It is really important that you do the on-line survey as well as the assessment forms.
