Date: 30/4/2025 Location: London Event: Training the Trainer (TTT) Teaching and Enhanced Learning for Trainees and SAS Doctors This one-day course is suitable all trainees and SAS doctors involved in delivering teaching at any level and to any grade of staff. It will help attendees to develop their skills and ideas further and provide educational and interesting teaching for learners, using a blend of independent preparatory learning with intensively-facilitated practical sessions on the day.
This one-day workshop for those with in-progress Portfolio Pathway application with the GMC and those who intend to apply within six months, aims to provide participants with a deeper understanding of the change of standards, from ‘equivalent to CCT’ to ‘Knowledge, Skills and Experience’, demonstrating ways to approach future applications and meeting the curriculum’s key skills, personalised in line with their own clinical experience and skill set.
This one-day seminar will allow attendees to gain essential insights on setting up your own private clinic. You’ll listen to experts who have successfully set up their own private clinics on a range of topics including company structures, location selection and preparation, finding and looking after your staff and patients, as well as an introduction to marketing.
This one-day Training the Trainers (TTT) course is suitable for Ophthalmologists, Orthoptists, Optometrists and Ophthalmic Nurses who are experienced in education and would like to implement the Ophthalmic Practitioner Training (OPT) programme in their unit or region, building confidence in areas including using objective setting to stimulate and direct learning, motivating trainees through feedback and developing action plans through which to monitor progress.

Participants will use a combination of wet-labs and a Digital Surgical Classroom, with wifi linked Zeiss Stemi microscopes.
