We are inviting Foundation Doctors to enter the 2026 Essay Prize, which provides the opportunity to explore an important topic in ophthalmology and showcase clinical knowledge and critical thinking.
This year’s essay title is ‘Ocular manifestations of systemic disease in clinical practice.’
The competition is open to doctors currently in a UK Foundation Programme (F1 or F2), as well as those who have completed the Foundation Programme but have not yet started an OST1 post. Entries must be submitted by 9am on Tuesday 1 September.
The winner will be invited to the College Admission Ceremony and will also receive free entry to the 2027 Annual Congress, where they will present their work as a poster.
