We have agreed a new pilot collaboration with the Cochrane Eyes and Vision US Project (CEV@US), aimed at strengthening the evidence base that underpins our guidelines.
This pilot will begin with the guidelines on Infection Keratitis.
While the College will maintain full editorial control, CEV@US will support our guideline development by undertaking structured searches of their systematic review database and providing assistance with the appraisal of the quality of the evidence.
Associate Professor Darren Ting, Scientific and Research Committee Chair, who initiated the pilot, said: “This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to robust, transparent guideline production and to working with trusted international partners where it adds real value.”
We will provide further updates for members as the pilot progresses and as we consider its wider application across future guidelines.
