Sight Research UK Seed Award - Open to Applications

Sight Research UK has now opened its Seed Award to applications.

The Seed Award supports a diverse portfolio of research projects with a clear pathway to patient benefit. All research should aim focus on eventual diagnostic, prevention or treatment solutions applicable to eye conditions.

The maximum value of this grant is £15,000 with a maximum term of 1 year.

  • Applicants must be UK based university researchers, or NHS based clinicians and clinical researchers, or allied healthcare professionals, including optometrists and opticians in the community.
  • Applications are accepted for projects that will be carried out across multiple institutions, but the funding will be awarded to the lead applicant’s host institution.
  • The lead applicant’s contract of employment must cover the full duration of the proposed project.

Application forms and more detailed guidance are available to download on Sight Research’s website. This funding scheme has a one-stage application process with an application deadline of 8 September 2023. Decisions on funding will be made at the beginning of November 2023.
