The election of the next President of The Royal College of Ophthalmologists is now closed.
The successor to Professor Ben Burton, whose term ends at the 2026 Annual General Meeting, will be announced in December.
College Members elect a President every three years.
Please note: this elections period started with the appointment of the Responsible Officer on 20 June, and will end with the announcement of the result to the Trustee Board on 27 November.
Key dates:
- Nominations closed: 5pm on Sunday 5 October
- Ballot opened: 9am on Monday 20 October
- Ballot closed: 5pm on Wednesday 12 November
- Outcome shared with members: Monday 8 December
