Members of the College are invited to submit nominations for Honorary Fellowships for 2021. The award of Honorary Fellow is the highest accolade that the College can bestow. It recognises those who have made a significant contribution to the field of ophthalmology.

Eligible individuals can be from any field of ophthalmic science, research or medicine or a member of the general public. Their work should have inspired, contributed to or made an impact in the field of ophthalmology and the wide eye heath sector.

The highly respected award is made to only one or two individuals each year, with the honour conferred at the Admissions Ceremony held in September. View a list of current Honorary Fellows and the citations covering their achievements here.

The closing date for applications is Monday, 30 October 2020. Applications must be submitted by filling in this nomination form and returning to Jo Longden here.

Applications are assessed by the RCOphth Council before shortlisting in December 2020. Awards will be made in September of the following year.
