We are now inviting applications for this postgraduate research award, a collaboration between the College and Glaucoma UK, which provides up to £100,000 to facilitate research into glaucoma.

This prestigious award has previously funded a range of research topics from prospective stem cell treatments to the use of big data in patient risk stratification. Last year’s award went to Dr Giovanni Montesano of Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for his project ‘Mapping clinical trial outcomes to individuals for personalised glaucoma care’

Applicants may be trainees seeking support for a fellowship or senior researchers seeking a grant for a project. Applications are invited from departments and individuals based in the UK and Ireland, but the research studies may be carried out elsewhere. Glaucoma UK encourages patient orientated research and research directly concerned with the improvement of the management of glaucoma.
