In the second episode of “The Congress that wasn’t” Christina Rennie chairs her session entitled controversies in diabetic retinopathy.

We then spoke briefly with three abstract holders about their work:

  1. Ketan Kapoor spoke about his paper, ‘A clinical audit to evaluate an optometrist led rapid-access wet-AMD referral service’.
  2. Meriam Islam spoke about her paper, ‘Home monitoring for patients with diabetic macula oedema: my doctor knows how I’m seeing every day’.
  3. Aidan Benson spoke about his paper, ‘Ocular surface side-effects of novel biologic agent for the treatment of eczema, dupilumab: Real-world data from UK cohort’.

This episode is from the Special Series: “The Congress that wasn’t”. In 2020 the college decided to postpone the Annual Congress due to the COVID19 pandemic. This series includes talks from speakers that were due to present at the 2020 Congress.
