Gordon Cropper, who was a former member of our Board of Trustees, died in early September. Prior to becoming a Lay Trustee, Gordon was a member of the Lay Advisory Group and was a dedicated and valued member of both our Training Committee and the National Recruitment Subcommittee.
Offering condolences to Gordon’s family on behalf of the college, President Ben Burton said: “He played a big part as a Lay Member, a Lay Trustee and in the two committees he was involved in and was one of the most active lay representatives we have had.
“His passion for ophthalmology and unwavering commitment to advancing our field left a lasting impact on all of us.”
