We are aware of comments made recently by the College President in support of a particular candidate.
The College’s Canvassing Code of Practice sets out clear principles to ensure that all elections are conducted fairly, transparently, and in line with our charitable purpose and organisational values. The Responsible Officer, appointed by the College Trustees, oversees adherence to this Code and is now reviewing the concerns that have been raised. A further update will be shared with members in due course.
The College is neutral as to the members’ choice of our next President and will reinforce this stance, as required. We are committed to a free and fair election, giving equal standing to each of the candidates.
