Recruiting for essential editorial roles for the new RCOphth Learning Management System

6 July 2021

Do you want to contribute to the new RCOphth Learning Management System (LMS), providing high quality structured learning pathways and coordinated educational programmes to support life-long clinical learning and professional development in a digital ‘one-stop shop’ environment?

Providing training and education materials to the eye care community

The RCOphth LMS will make high-quality training and educational materials accessible, anytime and anywhere for all ophthalmologists, eye care professionals such as orthoptists, optometrists, ophthalmic nurses and others in the multidisciplinary team.

The Learning Management System provides structured learning pathways and coordinated educational programmes to support life-long clinical learning and professional development. This online learning complements online or in-person events. Find out more about RCOphth’s current events.

Programme Editors

We have recruited a range of Programme Editors who will be responsible for one of the 25 programmes on the LMS and Co-Editors (Ophthalmology Trainee) for most programmes, or an Ophthalmic Practitioner for the two programmes relating to Ophthalmic Practitioner Training (OPT). They will work with a team of reviewers and contributors.

Editors and Co-Editors will be able to upload all types of format of new and curated educational material, presentations, courses, seminars, webinars, interactive cases, surgical videos and guides on to the new digital LMS and will be responsible for ensuring that the educational and training content is high quality, dynamic and innovative. Each item can be linked to quizzes, discussions, curriculums, logs and other related learning opportunities that might be of interest. Full training and administrative support will be provided to use the LMS.
