Over the past few months we have had coverage across a range of media, with members giving quotes and comments to regional and national publications. Thanks to those who contributed their expertise, helping us to raise awareness about critical eye health issues and advocate for positive patient outcomes.
Following publication of the wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD) pathway, NHS England has published new commissioning guidance regarding treatment pathways in macular oedema secondary to retinal vein occlusion (RVO). Members are encouraged to visit the NHS Futures Biosimilar Hub in order to view the guidance.

The College has expressed support for the urgent call for coordinated action to address the decline in clinically trained research staff, which was made in the Medical Research Council’s (MRC) recently published report “Clinical Researchers in the United Kingdom: Reversing the Decline”. We believe this is critically important for the future of UK healthcare and biomedical innovation.
